Meet Victori Joy
Victori Joy was born in 2018 --- Her mom suffered from SuperImposed Preeclampsia which caused her to deliver at 32 weeks. She experienced two blood transfusions, a brain bleed, and a small tumor on her arm when born. She birthed a "Victori-Us" premature two-pound baby who spent time fighting in the NICU as she grew strong enough to come home.
​
During a time of healing and living with a baby in the NICU, mom suffered postpartum depression, experienced lost wages, mistreatment of care during her birthing experience, and was unable to care for her other four children during that time --- Community advocates, friends, and family came to assist to assure mom she was not in this alone.
​
As a result of the unfortunate hospital care and experience and the outpour of support from her community, Kai wanted to grant this support back to moms. She vowed when ready, she would share her birthing story to raise awareness and encourage better birthing experiences for expectant mothers.
​
She also wanted to build a support system that would rally around mothers and assist with the day-to-day needs of caring for children to help prevent thoughts of suicide, depression, violence, substance abuse, and feeling depleted.
​
Kai believes that when a mother feels supported, she has the mental capacity to be more present in many areas of life, especially the parts of her that she gives to her children.
Being a parent is a 24/7/365 on-duty responsibility with no days off --- At Victori-Us we aim to assist in being a helping hand and lending our hearts to help parents not only feel empowered but Victorious!
